Reading a 60-minute transcript takes time. If you only need the key takeaways, scribeme.ai can generate a structured, Single-Pass AI Summary alongside your full transcript.
What is a Single-Pass AI Summary?
Unlike other tools that transcribe first and then run the text through an external LLM (which is slow and error-prone), scribeme.ai uses a unified AI model.
Our system understands the audio context directly and generates both the transcript and the summary simultaneously. This means faster processing and a summary that captures tone and nuance better than text-only summarization.
Extracting Notes and Action Items
To generate a summary:
- Upload your audio or video file as usual.
- In the settings menu, toggle AI Summary to the ON position.
- Click Start Transcription.
Once the file finishes processing, open the Interactive Editor. You will see a new Summary tab next to the Transcript tab.
The Summary Format
By default, the AI organizes your summary into three distinct sections:
- Executive Overview: A 2-3 paragraph high-level summary of the entire recording.
- Key Takeaways: Bullet points highlighting the most important topics discussed.
- Action Items: A checklist of next steps mentioned in the recording, complete with who is responsible for each task (if diarization is enabled).
Exporting Your Summary
You can export the summary independently of the full transcript.
- Click the Export button in the top right corner.
- Select Export Summary Only.
- Choose your preferred format (PDF, Markdown, or plain text).
