Even with 99.5% accuracy, you may occasionally need to correct proper nouns, industry jargon, or homophones (words that sound the same but are spelled differently).
The Interactive Editor makes polishing your transcript fast and intuitive.
Using the Interactive Editor
Once your transcription completes, click on the file to open the editor. The interface works much like a standard word processor (like Google Docs or Microsoft Word), but with audio playback synced directly to the text.
Sync-and-Click Playback
The text is inextricably linked to the audio timestamps.
- Click on any word in the transcript, and the audio player will instantly jump to that exact millisecond.
- As the audio plays, the current spoken word is highlighted in blue so you can follow along easily.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Keep your hands on the keyboard to edit faster.
- Tab: Play / Pause audio
- Ctrl + J (Windows) / Cmd + J (Mac): Rewind 5 seconds
- Ctrl + K (Windows) / Cmd + K (Mac): Fast forward 5 seconds
- Ctrl + F (Windows) / Cmd + F (Mac): Open Find and Replace
Bulk Find and Replace
If a specific proper noun was consistently misspelled throughout the transcript (e.g., "Air table" instead of "Airtable"), use the Find and Replace tool.
- Press Ctrl + F or click the magnifying glass icon in the toolbar.
- Enter the incorrect text in the Find field.
- Enter the correct text in the Replace with field.
- Click Replace All to fix every instance instantly.
