While our Interactive Editor is the best place to review audio, you often need to share the final text with clients, colleagues, or legal teams who don't have a scribeme.ai account.
You can easily export your transcript as a polished, professional document.
Exporting to PDF
PDF exports are perfect for preserving the layout and formatting of your transcript. This is the best choice if you need to print the document or send it as a final, uneditable record (like a legal deposition or official meeting minutes).
Exporting to Microsoft Word (.docx)
Word exports are ideal if the transcript is part of a larger collaborative project. This allows your team to add comments, track changes, and merge the text into other business documents.
Including Timestamps vs. Text Only
When exporting to either PDF or Word, you have the option to customize the output layout:
- Click Export in the Interactive Editor.
- Select the Document tab.
- Choose your format (PDF or Word).
- Include Timestamps: Check this box if you want the timecode (e.g.,
[00:04:15]) printed beside every paragraph. This is essential for video editors and legal teams. - Include Speaker Names: Check this box to include the speaker labels.
- Click Download File.
If you uncheck both Timestamps and Speaker Names, your export will look like a standard essay or article, containing only the transcribed text.
